This game was developed to justify the mathematical equations of game theory used by the R.A.N.D. Corporation, the hypothesis posed was that it will always benefit the individual to betray. During the past fifty years these concepts have gradually influenced politicians internationally.
The Game
Two suspects A and B are arrested and separated by the police and are offered a deal.
If, Prisoner A stays silent & Prisoner B stays silent. Each serves six months.
If, Prisoner A betrays & Prisoner B stays silent. Prisoner A goes free. Prisoner B serves ten years.
The outcome is that it will always benfit the individual to betray.
